Every wholesale eyewear order falls into one of two buckets: it is either pulled from stock that already exists, or it is produced for you. Knowing which one you need — and when — is the single biggest lever on your lead time.
Ready stock
Bestselling shapes are held in our warehouse as ready stock. On these lines you can start from 50 pcs per style and goods typically ship within about 7 working days of confirmation. The trade-off is that stock availability changes daily and the colour options are the ones already produced.
Made to order
Custom production re-opens the line for your chosen colours, lens treatments and quantities. MOQ is higher (typically 300–600 pcs per style) and production takes longer — that is the honest trade-off of getting exactly the specification you want.
How to combine both
The most reliable wholesale plan uses both at once: place a made-to-order run for your core styles (the ones you will sell all season), and top up with ready-stock orders for the styles you test or need quickly.
- Fast test: ready stock, small quantities, ship in ~7 working days.
- Volume core: made to order, better unit economics, longer lead time.
- Gap filling: ready stock to cover a sell-out mid-season.
A simple rule of thumb
Order made-to-order volume three to four months before your selling season, and keep ready-stock orders for everything you did not plan for. That way the long lead time only ever applies to the stock you are confident about.
